The German news site ZEIT ONLINE is doing a brilliant job whether in product design or editorial innovation.
Lately, a little game caught my eye inside a series about waste and recycling. It lets you experiment very simply with waste sorting (“in which bin would you put your coffee filter?”). Honestly, it could as well have been a communication tool for a recycling company but I feel it’s just the kind of public service information you also expect to see in such an article.
And of course, it uses simple gamification strategies like social proof to compare yourself to all the other ZEIT readers, which is always nice.
